Forces Equine Police Saddle Pad

F.E.G. The Forces Equine Games Story

Forces Equine was founded on the 19th May 2008 and was originally a sign post website to assist Service Personnel and their families with finding suitable livery & training yards on posting.

Through it's supporters, the website grew and flourished into the organisation that it is today.

In 2012, Debi Heath French was chatting with media volunteer Jenny Naylor (ex British Army) and course building volunteer Wayne Leatham (Royal Navy) about the option of holding a horse show for it's now members. This is where the Forces Equine Games (F.E.G.) was born.

"We approached John Sillet, manager of Wellington Riding in 2012 about the opportunity of holding our show at the centre and John was more than happy to assist" said Debi Heath French.
The event was in aid of Horseback UK, ABF The Soldiers Charity, the Astro Fund at RAF Akrotiri Saddle Club, and the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Equestrian Association.

The event was collated and ran by volunteers including the forementioned as well as Captain David Heath French RAMC, Richard Wyeth of BFBSm who was our compare, Mrs Bernadett Hewitt, who headed the ABF The Soldiers Charity stand and media streams. Some fantastic prizes for our auction were gathered from some of GB's most prestigious riders.

Many of the competitors offered their support with monitoring arenas and gates when they were not competing and went above and beyond to ensure the event was a great success.

With coverage from local, ITV Meridian & BBC news channels, the coverage of this event was extensive and exposed the success and unity of the event. Our riders and volunteers were so grateful.
